How to read the CrypticClock
CryptiClock displays time digitally, and the shifting dots are clustered to represent the digits. The display is separated into four pie-shaped quadrants, one for each digit, and is read clockwise from the top quadrant. Digits are read simply by counting the number of dots in the corresponding quadrant. Zero digits are left dark. The display refreshes itself every 2.5 seconds, so that 4 “tics” equals 10 seconds. The clock can be switched to display time according to the 24-hour clock or 12-hour clock.
The visual key to the right shows how the quadrants map to standard digital time format (click image for larger view).
